A legacy rooted in cotton
Cotton Ginning & Pressing has been our ancestral business for over 125 years. Such cumulative experience of more than 125 years with technology driven mindset and customer satisfaction has been our hallmark.
It began under the firm name Gulab Rai Govind Ram, grew into the Vidarbha Ginning & Pressing Factory in 1982, and in 2003 was modernised and rechristened J S Cotton Industries, in the heart of the Vidarbha cotton belt.

Our family begins ginning and pressing cotton, under the firm name Gulab Rai Govind Ram.
- 1982
A descendant of the family establishes the Vidarbha Ginning & Pressing Factory, the oldest ginning factory of Barshitakli.
- 2003
The factory is modernised, upgraded and rechristened J S Cotton Industries.
- 2004
Certificate of Merit from the East India Cotton Association.
- 2005
Placed in the “AAA” grade by the Technology Mission on Cotton.

Rated Five Star by the Textiles Committee.
- 2026
Felicitated as a Top 5-Star Rated Ginning & Pressing Factory, and registered with Kasturi Cotton Bharat.

Procurement and grading
An experienced team grades seed cotton and separates inferior cotton before it enters the line.

Pre-cleaning
A 6-roll pre-cleaner on the automatic seed cotton feeding belt.

Ginning and post-cleaning
Double roll ginning, pneumatic lint suction, lint conditioning and a 6-roll post-cleaning system.

Pressing and packing
An automatic baling press for uniform bales, covered in cloth. Net weight 170 kg.
Air Jet Cleaner
We plan to install an air jet cleaner to achieve the minimum trash possible, as our mission sets out.
